Nutrition and weight are the other half of the picture: without them, the coach sees only training load and recovery, but not energy balance.

FatSecret nutrition diary

The service connects to FatSecret — a popular nutrition diary with a barcode scanner and a database of ready-made meals.

  1. Create a FatSecret account if you don't have one yet — the app is free and available for iOS and Android.
  2. In your 1trAIner dashboard, open "Integrations" and tap to connect FatSecret.
  3. Grant access on the FatSecret page. Your password stays with FatSecret: the service only gets access to the diary via OAuth.
  4. Keep your diary as usual — the data will sync automatically.

The coach receives your daily calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates, as well as day-to-day trends — and compares them with energy expenditure from Garmin.

What this gives you

You can ask right in the chat: "how's my nutrition this week?" or "will I have enough energy for tomorrow's long run?"

How to log your weight

Smart scales via Apple Health

If your scale sends data to Apple Health (for example, Xiaomi models), body composition measurements can be imported automatically: a personal token is issued in the dashboard, and a shortcut is set up on your iPhone to send new measurements to the service. All measurements go into the same diary as entries from the chat.

Photos of lab results

Besides the scale display, you can send a photo of a lab report to the chat. If it contains body composition metrics, they will go into the diary; the rest of the recognized text is saved in the athlete's memory, and the coach can take it into account in the conversation. The service does not draw medical conclusions — discuss those with your doctor.

How to disconnect FatSecret

In the "Integrations" section of the dashboard there is a disconnect button: access to the diary is revoked and new data stops coming in. The nutrition history already uploaded stays in your account.

What you see in the dashboard

Consistency in measuring

Weigh yourself under the same conditions — in the morning, after the bathroom, before breakfast. A variation of 1–1.5 kg within a day is normal and related to water and gut contents, so only the trend over weeks matters, not a single number.
