AI coach for hiking and trekking
AI coach for hiking is a 1trAIner service where artificial intelligence builds and guides a training plan for mountain hikes. It suits amateurs preparing for their first ascent or a multi-day route. The service plans the season, month, week and day, reviews uploaded workouts and recalculates the week. The first 7 days are free, then 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year, with no auto-charges.
First 7 days free, no card needed. After that 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year, no auto-renewals.
How it works
-
1
Tell about the route, elevation gain, duration of outings and hiking experience — the AI will build a plan for your goal and available terrain.
-
2
Connect Garmin or Apple Watch via the app, or start without a watch — supplement workout information with messages about terrain and backpack.
-
3
Get a morning plan and a review of uploaded workouts — write in the chat about tough outings, missed sessions and schedule changes to adjust the week.
How it differs from a coach and a regular app
| What we compare | 1trAIner AI coach | Personal coach | Regular app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Individual plan | Built around your goal, level, and available days of the week | Tailored to you, depth depends on the coach's experience | A ready-made template, the same for everyone |
| Daily adjustments based on your watch | Every day based on sleep, resting heart rate, and completed workouts | Usually a call once a week | No: the plan doesn't know how you feel |
| Workout review for every session | Automatically after your activity is uploaded | Selectively, for key workouts | Just numbers with no explanation |
| Availability | Around the clock in chat, replies in seconds | During business hours, by appointment | The app is always available, but it doesn't answer questions |
| Price per month | 450 ₽ (or 4999 ₽ per year), first 7 days free | From 5000 ₽ for online coaching | From free to 1500 ₽ for a subscription |
| Who it suits | For amateurs who need a plan and a review without waiting for an answer | For those who value a real person and in-person work on technique | For those who just need to log workouts |
In hiking, elevation gain, backpack weight and duration of outings matter: the AI takes into account the described terrain, available routes and completed workouts when planning the week.

Frequently asked questions
Is the service suitable for a first hike in the mountains?
Specify the route, elevation gain, duration of outings and your walking experience. Also mention whether you are familiar with climbs and uneven terrain. This information gives the AI context for building a training plan.
Can I prepare if there are no mountains nearby?
Describe the available routes and terrain in the chat so the AI takes real training conditions into account. Also provide the hike parameters. The plan can be discussed and adjusted, but training on flat ground is not equivalent to experience of moving in the mountains.
Do I need a watch for workouts?
Without a watch, you can start by reporting the duration of your outing, the terrain, and how you feel. Garmin and Apple Watch let you upload workouts through the app. Supplement the data with a description of the conditions: the numbers alone don't capture all the features of the route.
What should I do if I missed a long run?
Write which session didn't happen and when the route you need will be available again. The AI will adjust the upcoming plan based on your message. Don't silently reschedule a long run: its place among the other sessions of the week matters.
Does the plan take backpack weight into account?
Tell us in the chat what backpack weight you plan to carry and how long the route is. This information helps when discussing preparation. The service doesn't build a nutrition plan by grams and doesn't replace your own practice of outings.
How is the service different from a live coach?
The plan is created and managed by an AI, not a person. Communication happens in the Telegram chat, including by voice. The service provides informational recommendations and a review of uploaded workouts, but it doesn't accompany you on the route.
How much does it cost to use the service?
The first 7 days are free, then access costs 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year. There are no automatic charges. The free trial lets you get to know the plan and the chat; payment questions can be sent to support@1trainer.ru.
