AI coach for marathon
AI coach for marathon is a 1trAIner service where artificial intelligence guides preparation for the 42.2 km distance. It suits amateurs planning their first marathon or a race with a time goal. The service links the season plan to daily tasks, reviews uploaded runs, and recalculates the week. The first 7 days are free, then 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year, with no auto-renewals.
First 7 days free, no card needed. After that 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year, no auto-renewals.
How it works
-
1
Specify the marathon date, running experience, current volume, and time goal — the AI will build a plan from the season down to specific training days.
-
2
Connect Garmin or Apple Watch via the app, or start without a watch — report completed runs and long sessions in the chat.
-
3
Read the morning plan and the review of uploaded runs, describe your nutrition experience on long runs — discuss schedule changes in the chat to adjust the week.
How it differs from a coach and a regular app
| What we compare | 1trAIner AI coach | Personal coach | Regular app |
|---|---|---|---|
| Individual plan | Built around your goal, level, and available days of the week | Tailored to you, depth depends on the coach's experience | A ready-made template, the same for everyone |
| Daily adjustments based on your watch | Every day based on sleep, resting heart rate, and completed workouts | Usually a call once a week | No: the plan doesn't know how you feel |
| Workout review for every session | Automatically after your activity is uploaded | Selectively, for key workouts | Just numbers with no explanation |
| Availability | Around the clock in chat, replies in seconds | During business hours, by appointment | The app is always available, but it doesn't answer questions |
| Price per month | 450 ₽ (or 4999 ₽ per year), first 7 days free | From 5000 ₽ for online coaching | From free to 1500 ₽ for a subscription |
| Who it suits | For amateurs who need a plan and a review without waiting for an answer | For those who value a real person and in-person work on technique | For those who just need to log workouts |
Marathon preparation requires room for long runs and practicing nutrition on the distance: the AI takes into account the completed volume, your messages about long runs, and the time until the selected race.

Frequently asked questions
Is the service suitable for preparing for a first marathon?
Tell about the regularity of your runs, experience at other distances, and the date of the selected marathon. The AI uses this information to plan preparation. The mere presence of a plan does not promise a finish: it is worth discussing the goal and available time before starting.
Can I set a time goal for the finish?
Specify the desired time along with recent results and current training volume. This is a guideline for building the plan, not a promise of results. After each uploaded run, a review arrives and the upcoming training week is recalculated.
What should I do if I missed a long run?
Report the missed workout in the chat and list the days available before your next long run. The AI coach will adjust the rest of the plan based on your message. You don't need to schedule two long runs back-to-back just to hit the original weekly volume.
Can I discuss nutrition for a marathon?
In the chat you can log your nutrition and share what you tried on long runs and how it felt. These messages help you discuss race preparation. The service doesn't build a gram-by-gram nutrition plan and doesn't replace your own practice.
Are watches required for a marathon plan?
You can start without a watch by reporting your workouts in the chat. Garmin or Apple Watch via the app let you upload activities for a workout review. Garmin also shares sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, and readiness to guide the plan.
How much does training support cost?
The first 7 days are free, then it costs 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year. There are no automatic charges. The plan is guided by an AI coach, not a human coach; payment questions can be sent to support@1trainer.ru.
