To climb Elbrus, 5642 m, in 12 weeks, it's worth focusing on endurance and the ability to move uphill for a long time. Walking and strength exercises are selected based on your starting fitness and the chosen route. Physical preparation does not replace acclimatization and does not guarantee reaching the summit: the altitude schedule should be discussed with a guide in advance.
The 1trAIner AI coach takes into account your experience, available climbs or stairs, and the days when you can set aside time for a long session. Data from a Garmin or Apple Watch comes in automatically, and the plan is recalculated after each workout. Heart rate and pace help assess the training load, and your messages about fatigue help adjust it in time.
First you establish regular walking and strengthen your legs for ascents and descents. Then the plan includes more work on available terrain, if recovery allows increasing the volume. Closer to departure, the load decreases rather than turning into a test at your limit. Progress is shown by a steadier effort on a familiar climb and descents that feel easier, but not by an assumed readiness for altitude.
What you get during 7 days of free access
- The first 7 days are free: in the questionnaire you specify the climb date, route, experience at altitude and available conditions for uphill walking.
- You receive the first week of the plan with manageable walking, leg exercises and recovery days that fit your schedule.
- The coach reviews the session data and how you feel on ascents and descents, then refines the load for the next workouts.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a sports watch?
No. You can start without one: the plan is built from your answers about your goal, level, and available time. With a Garmin or Apple Watch, accuracy is higher — the coach sees your heart rate, sleep, and actual weekly volume.
What happens after the free week?
The subscription costs 450 ₽ per month or 4999 ₽ per year. There are no automatic charges: your card is not saved, and renewal is only manual via the link in the reminder.
Is the coach a person or a program?
1trAIner is an informational service: plans and reviews are prepared by AI based on your data. This is not a medical service and not a substitute for a doctor or an in-person coach.
What if my goal changes?
Let us know in the chat. Right now the plan is built for the goal “Preparation for climbing Elbrus: 12 weeks of preparation”, but moving a race, an injury, or a vacation is normal: the coach will recalculate the cycle for the new conditions.
